☘️ Shamrocks ☘️ Junior Rugby – Term 4 Friday Night 7s 2025
Thanks for your interest in playing for Shamrocks Junior Rugby Club in the Illawarra Friday Night 7s competition. Not only is Rugby a truly global game, Rugby 7s is an olympic sport (Brisbane 2032 anyone??) and introduces players to a fun, fast form of rugby with less intensity in contact area, and a true community culture that can be experienced around the world!
Please read the below information and then submit a form for each player that intends to join a Shamrocks team.
COMPETITION
The Friday Night Rugby 7s competition will be in a gala type format with multple short games for each team. All games are scheduled to be held at University of Wollongong rugby fields on Friday nights, under lights.
There will be a canteen and BBQ available for an easy Friday night dinner option.

TRAINING
Shamrock’s Team Training will commence Thursday 18 September 6pm-7:15pm at Ocean Park for all Shamrocks teams (NO training in October School Holidays). We may organise an earlier training time for younger kids, depending on interest.
Please ensure players wear boots and bring a mouthguard to training.
COMMUNICATION
General Club and Competition information will be posted on the Shamrocks website, Shamrocks Junior Rugby Facebook Group and Instagram Account.
A Shamrocks Junior Rugby WhatsApp Group will be established to provide Club information… Team Groups will be set up once they are formed.
This EOI form is not a formal registration (that will be sent out a bit later) – this is to help Shamrocks gauge interest and then pull together teams.
